We have worked on all types of residential projects from small bathroom remodels to multi-million dollar projects including multi-family housing projects. Typically, however, we are involved in new custom homes ranging from $140,000 to $300,000 plus. Our range of remodeling/addition projects is extremely wide. It can be as small as $5,000 or as high as $1 million plus. 

We pride ourselves on the fact that we will tackle almost any type of project. Typically, we specialize in new home construction, remodeling and additions. We especially enjoy taking conceptual ideas and transforming them into workable solutions from underpinning foundations to removing roofs and adding second stories. We take pride in working with you from the planning stages all the way through the completion of your "dream home" or your remodeling job.

We feel that in a "custom" building environment it is important to maintain maximum control over the project's quality and schedule. Therefore, we employ our own staff of highly seasoned craftsmen and perform our own carpentry. We also provide job site visits throughout the project even when our employees are not working on the projects. This is a typical daily routine. By using our own professionals for the carpentry phases of the project, we can control the timing of a major portion of the project, and we have an overall advantage as to when phases of the project start as well as when they are completed.

Since every project is different, we hesitate to give "ball park pricing". Every home, addition, or remodeling project that we complete is vastly different. Each customer has his or her own set of specifications. We have completed projects from $85-$300 per square foot. Your project is unique and we need to approach the pricing in such a manner. 

We have never had a problem being competitive in our pricing when we compare "apples to apples". We sometimes lose a job because we are underbid only to find out later that the other contractor used lesser quality building materials, or has lower standards of quality in terms of labor performance. We realize that there will always be someone who will do the job for less. We always strive to provide the best value for our clients.

We retain a group of subcontractors that literally follow us from job to job. We refer to them as our "family subs". For us to maintain high standards of quality, we feel it is absolutely necessary to know that each of the trades-people on our project is of good character and maintains competence levels second-to-none. We do not want to worry about how a subcontractor or supplier may perform. This allows us to focus on other aspects of our projects like making sure our customer's needs are met. Many of our "family subs" have performed work for Baas Construction, Inc. for over 15 years. 

8. Do you allow customers to perform phases of the work on their own?

Yes. In the past we have had many clients do various phases of the project on their own. We are not opposed to this. However, we ask the client in this case, to perform the work in accordance with our schedule so that we can stay on track with our overall schedule.
